It's Friday.....Long Weekend Ahead.......

I have a lot on my plate this weekend. Me and the wife are doing a yard sale this Saturday and have talked about it and after the sale every thing left over is going to goodwill. We are only selling items we no longer need or want. We just did a move and are just cleaning out the junk that is just not needed. I plan to use the extra space to put in more preps. My plan is food, food and more food! I just got 15 more 5 gallon buckets with lids to put away more food. I use my food saver to pack the food and then seal it up in the 5 gallon bucket.
The nice thing about doing a yard sale is you get to go through all of your stuff, so I am using this to help find stuff and put it into the right place. After the sale and the trip to drop off the goodwill items we will make a run to Wal-Mart and buy a good amount of dry goods to bag with the food saver. I will get beans, rice, oats, grits, and more salt and sugar. I like this plan, sell unwanted items and junk and use the money to buy preps. I will add some of my own money to this because this weekend is going to be a full prep weekend. I plan to stay at it till I get it done and if I have time I will get a little range time in to.
And for the first time in months I have seen more ammo at the gun store, but every item is through the roof. I still have not seen ammo at Wal-Mart unless you are after shotgun shells. I still pick up a box or two of shotgun shells every time I go to Wal-Mart, I don't think you can ever have to many shotgun shells, because after the collapse you will need the bird shot to hunt, plus I still go and shoot trap as much as I can.
Keep up your prepping and stay alert to the evil that is on it's way. The collapse is near and time is short.

  1. Still no .22lr around here. Plenty of target loads in 12 and 20 guage, some bird shot. A little more rifle ammo, like you said, at sky high prices. Good luck with the sale, might be your last chance before "cashless society" kicks in...

  3. Just ordered 2K rounds from Cheaper Than Dirt last Wed. At least they had that much on hand- the local shop has quite a few varieties but mine, and all are high priced, though lower than last fall.
No .22, though, as Mayberry says. It's the absolute most popular round these days. I've gone through 15K rounds of .22 over the winter and kept buying fresh... slowing down now, I think.

  4. Make more room, get money, and buy more preps. Truly a worthwhile project. I'm proud to know ya'! Stay at it!
