I found ammo today at Wal-Mart. I got six boxes of Federal .22LR, not the 550 but the 375 rounds box. It was just under $12.00 and all they would let me get was six boxes and they still had six left so I got my wife to go and get the other six but in less than 5 mins someone else got the last six. I have to say I was happy with the six I got but would have liked to have got all 12 of them. Maybe next time, my wife said she would come over at the same time I was there and if they had ammo we would both get the six item limit. I still picked up my two boxes of shotgun shells. I do this 2-3 times a week and will keep it up till I run out of room or they stop selling it and I have lots of room. I'm still looking for lamp oil and can only find it at OSH or True Value and at a big price. I found four bottles of lamp oil at a yard sale last week and my wife said it was like I had won the Lotto. I still go shopping every week for extra preps and for barter items.
It looks like the economy is going down hill fast and the dollar is going with it. I don't think the collapse is to far away. Keep up your preps and ready yourself for to evil that is coming our way.

Pete, just curious, why not store kerosene instead of lamp oil? I know it stinks when burning in a lamp. My wife doesn't like it. I don't care for the smell either, but I like light more. In my area it's $3.00 a gallon, but, if memory serves, lamp oil is twice as expensive. Plus you can use kero to cook with too.

Western Mass I will go and get some today and try it and if the smoke is not to bad I will get some. I think the smoke will be a problem for me and my wife if it's bad, but like you said I like light too. So I will check it out. Thanks for the info.
