Would it be childish to add "Enjoy yourself"? There's so much bad going on, sometimes we forget to appreciate the day we DO have. I think about that everytime I look at my son, and it seems like we brought him home from the hospital yesterday, not 5 years ago. So many days have passed and there's no promise of tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteSo enjoy your day! Shell your beans around a fire with your children! Sip some hot apple cider whilst putting together your bug-out bag. Try to have a good 'today' while you prepare for tomorrow.
Andrea you are so right, I do take time out of every week and do something fun with my wife and dog. But I do have to say with time so short I feel as if I have no time to waste.
ReplyDeleteWe're probably not as prepared as we should be...you can only do so much, right? I thought my pandemic closet was pretty well stocked until my darling daughter developed hives last night...an allergic response to the flu virus. Sigh. "That which does not kill me" blah blah blah :)
