Here is how to win just post an answer to this question(two parts);
1) Is the US going to get a down grade in credit from AAA to AA and if so what will this do to the out look for this country?
2) And how will this change your plans for prepping?

Good luck and as always thanks for stopping by!

  1. 1. Yes it will get downgraded. We will have to pay higher interest to service the the debt. Interest on the debt is eating about 40% of all revenues just to service it right now at less than 1% rates. Even a small jump interest wise will be catastrophic for the economy. I see the government hyper-inflating the dollar as a result.
    2. I'm building 1 month of cash for all monthly bills on hand and not in the bank. I'm staying liquid and nimble as much as I can do on my income.
    I got the basics for a year first. I'm out of debt except for the house. I bought silver an built an Emergency fund of 3 month's worth of bills can be got in a couple of days if needed.

  2. 1. I think that eventually it will be downgraded, you can't sustain the BS forever. I can only see inflation coming even harder at us than it is now.
    2. My prepping plans aren't really changing much BUT I am trying to gain some ground on what I have now! Prepping is an ongoing thing, no matter what is happening around us, the need to do so should be first and foremost in our plans. The only debt I'm carrying right now is the land note and I have under 3 years left on that. Wish me luck!

  3. 1. I don't see how it cannot be downgraded. Since we don't have the money and it will be impossible to borrow it the Fed will print more causing massive inflation.
    2. I am looking for real property and barter items to put my savings into.
