When Faith In U.S. Dollars And U.S. Debt Is Dead The Game Is Over
Michael Snyder
The Economic Collapse
May 29, 2011
A day is coming when the rest of the world will decide that it no longer has faith in U.S. dollars or in U.S. debt. When that day arrives, the game will be over. Traditionally, two of the biggest things that the U.S. economy has had going for it were the U.S. dollar and U.S. Treasuries. The U.S. dollar has been the default reserve currency of the world for decades. All over the globe it was seen as a strong, stable currency that was desirable for international trade. U.S. government debt has long been considered the “safest debt” in the entire world. Whenever there was a major crisis, investors would flock to U.S. Treasuries because they were considered a rock. Sadly, all of this is now changing. Today the rest of the world is losing faith in the U.S. financial system. In fact, even the United Nations is now warning of the collapse of the dollar. But if the U.S. dollar and U.S. Treasuries collapse, that will be an absolute nightmare for the U.S. economy. If the rest of the world does not want our dollars someday, then what are we going to give them in exchange for all of the oil and all of the cheap imported goods they send us? If the rest of the world does not want our debt someday, then how in the world are we going to be able to continue to consume far, far more wealth than we produce?
The rest of the world is watching the U.S. government run up record-setting budget deficits and they are watching the Federal Reserve print money like there is no tomorrow and they realize that the U.S. financial system is slowly imploding.
As mentioned above, now even the United Nations is warning that the U.S. dollar could collapse. The following is a brief excerpt from a recent news report put out by Reuters….
The United Nations warned on Wednesday of a possible crisis of confidence in, and even a “collapse” of, the U.S. dollar if its value against other currencies continued to decline.
In a mid-year review of the world economy, the UN economic division said such a development, stemming from the falling value of foreign dollar holdings, would imperil the global financial system.
But it is not just the United Nations that is concerned about the U.S. dollar.
On April 18th, Standard & Poor’s altered its outlook on U.S. government debt from “stable” to “negative” and warned that the U.S. could soon lose its prized AAA rating.
At one time, it would have been unthinkable for Standard & Poor’s to do such a thing.
But today it is amazing that it has taken them so long to make such a move. U.S. government finances are falling apart.
When the credit rating of U.S. government debt starts declining, interest rates will go up. Just ask the government of Greece how painful that can be. Today, Greece is paying over 16 percent on 10 year bonds.
The following is what John Williams of Shadow Government Statistics recently had to say about why Standard & Poor’s issued such a warning about U.S. government debt….
S&P is noting the U.S. government’s long-range fiscal problems. Generally, you’ll find that the accounting for unfunded liabilities for Social Security, Medicare and other programs on a net-present-value (NPV) basis indicates total federal debt and obligations of about $75 trillion. That’s 15 times the gross domestic product (GDP). The debt and obligations are increasing at a pace of about $5 trillion a year, which is neither sustainable nor containable. If the U.S. was a corporation on a parallel basis, it would be headed into bankruptcy rather quickly.
Look, the rest of the world is not stupid. They know that the U.S. government is hurtling towards financial disaster. The appetite among foreigners for U.S. government debt is decreasing rapidly.
In fact, according to Zero Hedge, foreigners are dumping U.S. debt at a very rapid pace right now.
In addition, the cost to insure U.S. debt has risen sharply in recent days.
Right now, the Federal Reserve has been buying up most new U.S. government debt with dollars that it has created out of thin air. This is a giant Ponzi scheme, and it is a major contributing factor to the decline of faith in the U.S. dollar.
The dollar has fallen by 17 percent compared to other major national currencies since 2009. What makes that fact even sadder is that all major currencies have been rapidly losing value compared to hard assets over that time period. The dollar is just sliding faster than almost all of the other global currencies that are constantly losing value as well.
Anyone with half a brain could have seen that this would be the end result of reckless government borrowing, but unfortunately our politicians have been ignoring this problem for decades.
Now a day or reckoning is fast approaching and it is going to be very painful.
The U.S. government has piled up the biggest mountain of debt in the history of the world. Just consider a few shocking facts about this unprecedented debt….
*If the U.S. national debt (more than 14 trillion dollars) was reduced to a stack of 5 dollar bills, it would reach three quarters of the way to the moon.
*The U.S. government borrows about 168 million dollars every single hour.
*If Bill Gates gave every penny of his fortune to the U.S. government, it would only cover the U.S. budget deficit for 15 days.
*It is now being projected that by the year 2021, interest payments on the national debt will amount to $1.1 trillion dollars a year.
In a previous article on The American Dream, I detailed some more absolutely horrifying statistics about U.S. government debt….
#1 If you divide the national debt up equally among all U.S. households, each one owes a staggering $125,475.18.
#2 The federal government has borrowed 29,660 more dollars per household since Barack Obama signed the economic stimulus law two years ago.
#3 During Barack Obama’s first two years in office, the U.S. government added more to the U.S. national debt than the first 100 U.S. Congresses combined.
#4 In the new budget that the Obama administration has proposed, the U.S. government would spend 3.7 trillion dollars in 2012 and by 2021 the U.S. government would be spending a whopping 5.6 trillion dollars per year.
#5 The U.S. government currently has to borrow approximately 41 cents of every single dollar that it spends.
#6 The total compensation that the federal government workforce earned last year came to a grand total of approximately 447 billion dollars.
#7 The U.S. national debt is currently rising by well over 4 billion dollars every single day.
#8 The U.S. government is borrowing over 2 million more dollars every single minute.
#9 The U.S. national debt is over 14 times larger than it was just 30 years ago.
#10 Unfunded liabilities for entitlement programs such as Social Security and Medicare are estimated to be well over $100 trillion, and nobody in the U.S. government seems to have any idea how we are actually even going to come close to meeting all of those obligations.
#11 If you were alive when Christ was born and you spent one million dollars every single day since that point, you still would not have spent one trillion dollars by now. But this year alone the U.S. government is going to go about 1.6 trillion dollars more into debt.
#12 If the federal government began right at this moment to repay the U.S. national debt at a rate of one dollar per second, it would take over 440,000 years to pay off the national debt.
So have our politicians learned anything from the mistakes of the past?
No.
The U.S. government continues to spend money on some of the most ridiculous things imaginable. For example, the Department of Health and Human Services has just announced a brand new $500 million program that will, among other things, seek to solve the problem of 5-year-old children that “can’t sit still” in a kindergarten classroom.
Isn’t it good to see the government investing our hard-earned tax dollars so wisely?
Of course if our kids weren’t being constantly fed foods packed with sugar, high fructose corn syrup and aspartame we wouldn’t have to spend 500 million dollars to deal with this problem.
When it comes to government waste, nobody seems to do it any better than the U.S. government.
Our politicians continue to assume that the rest of the world will always want our dollars and our debt, but that is simply not the case.
Over the past couple of years, global leader after global leader has publicly talked about the need for a new world reserve currency.
In fact, globalist institutions such as the IMF and the World Bank have been very busy discussing what the world is going to use as a global reserve currency after the death of the dollar.
The rest of the world is not sitting around waiting to see if the U.S. financial system is going to recover. They are already making plans for the demise of the dollar. They are increasingly using other currencies to trade with. They are becoming more hesitant to buy more of our debt. They are realizing that the days of U.S. dominance are coming to an end.
So what is that going to mean for us?
It is going to be a complete and total disaster.
Right now, we live far, far beyond our means. We borrow gigantic piles of money to make up the difference between what we produce and what we consume. We are absolutely dependent on the fact that the rest of the world will take our dollars in exchange for the things that we need.
The current situation is not sustainable.
It will come to an end.
When it does, our standard of living is going to feel like it has changed overnight.

Going Canning!!!!!
A friend from work has asked me to go with her to the LDS Cannery to can some food. I said yes and plan to make good of the offer. I went to there web site to look at the items and the price of the food and I'm shocked at how good the whole deal is going to be.
Pinto Beans #10 can(5.2lbs) $4.85
White Rice #10 can (5.4lbs) $4.15
Hard Red Wheat #10 can(5.5lbs) $3.65
Quick Oats #10 can(2.4lbs) $2.65
This is just some of the items and there cost and I can't wait to get this done. This trip will add months to my preps and help to put me a little more at ease over my food preps. As always I will still prep with my food saver and 5 gallon buckets but this trip and I hope a few more to the LDS cannery is going to be a very nice treat. I'm not a member of the LDS church but I sure do think is a very nice offer from a good friend at work to let me go with her to the cannery. I will post an up date on how it went and some photos to show off my new preps.
I hope you all are working on your preps because the times are not looking so good and the world is getting turned upside down. I'm sure the US is not to far away from a collapse of the dollar and with that collapse the rest will fall right along. The day is coming that will be like no other day you have ever seen. Stand ready and stock up, give yourself a shot at survival!

20 Questions To Ask Anyone Foolish Enough To Believe The Economic Crisis Is Over
I saw this at infowars.com today and like it!
The Economic Collapse

If you listen to Ben Bernanke, Barack Obama and the mainstream media long enough, and if you didn’t know any better, you might be tempted to think that the economic crisis is long gone and that we are in the midst of a burgeoning economic recovery. Unfortunately, the truth is that the economic crisis is far from over. In 2010, more homes were repossessed than ever before, more Americans were on food stamps than ever before and a smaller percentage of American men had jobs than ever before. The reality is that the United States is an economic basket case and all of these natural disasters certainly are not helping things. The Federal Reserve has been printing gigantic piles of money and the U.S. government has been borrowing and spending cash at a dizzying pace in an all-out effort to stabilize things. They have succeeded for the moment, but our long-term economic problems are worse then ever. We are still in the middle of a full-blown economic crisis and things are about to get even worse.
If you know someone that is foolish enough to believe that the economic crisis is over and that our economic problems are behind us, just ask that person the following questions….
#1 During the 23 months of the “Obama recovery”, an average of about 23,000 jobs a month have been created. It takes somewhere in the neighborhood of 150,000 jobs a month just to keep up with population growth. So shouldn’t we hold off a bit before we declare the economic crisis to be over?
#2 During the “recession”, somewhere between 6.3 million and 7.5 million jobs were lost. During the “Obama recovery”, approximately 535,000 jobs have been added. When will the rest of the jobs finally come back?
#3 Of the 535,000 jobs that have been created during the “Obama recovery”, only about 35,000 of them are permanent full-time jobs. Today, “low income jobs” account for 41 percent of all jobs in the United States. If our economy is recovering, then why can’t it produce large numbers of good jobs that will enable people to provide for their families?
#4 Agricultural commodities have been absolutely soaring this decade. The combined price of cotton, wheat, gasoline and hogs is now more than 3 times higher than it was back in 2002. So how in the world can the Federal Reserve claim that inflation has been at minimal levels all this time?
#5 Back in 2008, banks had a total of 27 billion dollars in excess reserves at the Fed. Today, banks have a total of approximately 1.5 trillion dollars in excess reserves at the Fed. So what is going to happen when all of this money eventually hits the economy?….
#6 If the U.S. economy is recovering, then why are shipments by U.S. factories still substantially below 2008 levels?
#7 Why are imports of goods from overseas growing much more rapidly than shipments of goods from U.S. factories?
#8 According to Zillow, the average price of a home in the U.S. is about 8 percent lower than it was a year ago and that it continues to fall about 1 percent a month. During the first quarter of 2011, home values declined at the fastest rate since late 2008. So can we really talk about a “recovery” when the real estate crisis continues to get worse?
#9 According to a shocking new survey, 54 percent of Americans believe that a housing recovery is “unlikely” until at least 2014. So how is the housing industry supposed to improve if so many people are convinced that it will not?
#10 The latest GDP numbers out of Japan are a complete and total disaster. During the first quarter GDP declined by a stunning 3.7 percent. Of course I have been saying for months that the Japanese economy is collapsing, but most mainstream economists were absolutely stunned by the latest figures. So will the rest of the world be able to avoid slipping into a recession as well?
#11 Next week, Republicans in the House of Representatives are going to allow a vote on raising the debt ceiling. Everyone knows that this is an opportunity for Republican lawmakers to “look tough” to their constituents (the vast majority of which do not want the debt ceiling raised). Everyone also knows that eventually the Republicans are almost certainly going to cave on the debt ceiling after minimal concessions by the Democrats. The truth is that neither “establishment Republicans” nor “establishment Democrats” are actually serious about significantly cutting government debt. So why do we need all of this political theater?
#12 Why are so many of our once great manufacturing cities being transformed into hellholes? In the city of Detroit today, there are over 33,000 abandoned houses, 70 schools are being permanently closed down, the mayor wants to bulldoze one-fourth of the city and you can literally buy a house for one dollar in the worst areas.
#13 According to one new survey, about half of all Baby Boomers fear that when they retire they are going to end up living in poverty. So who is going to take care of them all when the money runs out?
#14 According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, an average of about 5 million Americans were being hired every single month during 2006. Today, an average of about 3.5 million Americans are being hired every single month. So why are our politicians talking about “economic recovery” instead of “the collapse of the economy” when hiring remains about 50 percent below normal?
#15 Since August, 2 million more Americans have left the labor force. But the entire period from August to today was supposed to have been a time of economic growth and recovery. So why are so many Americans giving up on looking for a job?
#16 According to Gallup, 41 percent of Americans believed that the economy was “getting better” at this time last year. Today, that number is at just 27 percent. Are Americans losing faith in the U.S. economy?
#17 According to the U.S. Census, the number of children living in poverty has gone up by about 2 million in just the past 2 years, and one out of every four American children is currently on food stamps. During this same time period, Barack Obama and Ben Bernanke have told us over and over that the U.S. economy has been getting better. So what is the truth?
#18 America has become absolutely addicted to government money. 59 percent of all Americans now receive money from the federal government in one form or another. U.S. households are now receiving more income from the U.S. government than they are paying to the government in taxes. Americans hate having their taxes raised and they hate having their government benefits cut. So is there any hope that this will ever be turned around before disaster strikes?
#19 The combined debt of the major GSEs (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and Sallie Mae) has increased from 3.2 trillion in 2008 to 6.4 trillion in 2011. How in the world is the U.S. government going to be able to afford to guarantee all of that debt on top of everything else?
#20 If the U.S. national debt (more than 14 trillion dollars) was reduced to a stack of 5 dollar bills, it would reach three quarters of the way to the moon. The U.S. government borrows about 168 million dollars every single hour. If Bill Gates gave every penny of his fortune to the U.S. government, it would only cover the U.S. budget deficit for 15 days. So how in the world can our politicians tell us that everything is going to be okay?

Living On Less
Me and the wife have been cutting back on a lot of stuff. We have started the coupon thing and it works we save from $15 to $25 every two weeks. What we do is cut out all the coupons we use and set them in groups like cleaning stuff, can foods, meats and other groups. Then we take all the weeks ads and look for the best price and high-light the best price and then me make a list of needed items and write next to it the price and what store ad it is in and then we are off to Wal-Mart because they will match the price of any other store at the register just show them the ad and they change the price right at the register. Last week we saved $27.00 in coupons and about $19.00 in price matching for a total of $46. We have been doing this for about three months now and we set aside the saved money to use for food preps or other needed items. The first thing we used the saved money for was new tires for the truck we had $215 saved and two new tires cost us $195 and didn't have to come from out everyday money or our regular savings.
We cut down our cable bill, power bill and phone bill and we just got rid of our home phone line that in it's self is saving us $45 a month. We are looking at other ways to cut back to help add to our savings. I think it's very easy to do and we are not going without anything we need. Take a little time I bet you can cut a little fat off your bills each month.

Day After Day.......
I find myself in a haze of thoughts of the coming collapse and how it all will go down. I think that the time we now have left is growing very short. I see the news and then I have to filter it and then pull the 5-10% of the truth out of it then look up the real truth on line and all I see is doom and gloom the cost of just about everything is going up or going up and down live is sure crazy at this point in time. I see Obama has a new person that is reading blogs, web sites and other outlets of news looking for info that Obama doesn't like or he wants you to think is not true. So let me get this our tax money is going to set the record right on views he thinks are not true or hurts his image, and all the statements are said under the protection of the 1st Amendment but just because the great Obama wants you to stop your posting, blogging and reporting you MUST STOP and then they will set the record straight. So keep this in mind when you want to make a statement about the Jack Ass in office that claim to be the leader of the free world but I don't think he could punch his way out of a wet paper bag on his best day. Well to sum it all up, We The People and Land Of The Free are both just words and we now live in "The Police State Of America" so stand up my comrade and do as your told and get your ass on the bus your heading to Camp FEMA!!!!! Fun in the sun and all the flu shots your can take and a fresh new RFID Chip in your skin!!!
Don't you just love the change that thegreat Obama has made. You need to remember he said he would fundamentally change this country forever, I think it's the only thing he said he would do that was the truth!!!
Don't you just love the change that the

When Policemen Break The Law, Then There isn't Any Law Just A Fight For Survival
With the recent Indiana Supreme court ruling giving police open access to people’s homes they have just walked all over the 4th amendment and spit in the face of every American. I am sick from this attack on our freedoms and if you think it's not an attack on your freedoms just because you don't live in Indiana, think again. Because if the people don't stand up and fight this your state will be next, or let me rethink that my state the fine state of dead heads and very sick people "California".
The facts and procedural history of the Barnes vs. State of Indiana began on November 18, 2007 in Vanderburgh County. The incident involved a married couple arguing, no attacks of violence were committed by either party, but officers on the scene escalated events when they forced their way into the couple’s apartment. In writing for the court, Justice David Steven said that if a police officer wants to enter a home for any reason or no reason at all, a homeowner can not do anything to block the officer’s entry.
This 3-2 decision by the Indiana Supreme Court has in affect overridden the 4th amendment to the US Constitution which says; The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized- [4th Amendment to the US Constitution] A legal precedent has now been set for Indiana residents; people have NO reasonable expectation to be secure in their persons, house, papers and effects.
If we sit like sheep and do nothing we will be treated like sheep and took right to slaughter. We as Patriot's need to make a stand and fight the fools who are running this mess of a country.
If the Police come to my home and plan to look around they best have a warrant, because if they don't and just want to walk into my home then I will have to treat them just like I would treat a criminal. I have a set or rules to live by they come from the good Lord and his words from the Bible and The US Constitution. And this group of fools just spit in the face of every American.

The United States Economy Is In Distress
And with the economy being in distress puts the whole country in distress. Will the dollar survive? Will this country survive?
What Is a Dollar Collapse?:
A dollar collapse is when the value of the dollar falls so fast that all those who hold dollars panic, and sell them at any cost. In this scenario, sellers would include: foreign governments who hold U.S. Treasuries, traders in exchange rate futures who trade the dollar versus other currencies, and individual investors who demand assets denominated in anything other than dollars. The collapse of the dollar means that everyone is trying to sell their dollar-denominated assets, and no one wants to buy them, driving the value of the dollar down to near zero.
What Would Cause the Dollar to Collapse?:
Several conditions must be in place before the dollar could collapse. First, there must be an underlying weakness. Second, there must be a viable currency alternative for everyone to stampede into. Third, a triggering event would need to occur.
I think that that we have hit the first two conditions and we are on par to fall into the final condition with a trigger event. Just think of a big hit to Wall Street like a 6000 point drop in a day or even a 4000 point drop in a day. How would that effect the economy and how would that effect the people of this country? Some people see the trouble we are in, most don't and think everything will be fine and dandy and I don't see it that way. I think we as a country are in lots of trouble and a world of hurt is coming. I feel that it's only a short amount of time till we have a total collapse and I don't think any one can stop it the damage is done and we are to far in debt and can never get out of it. We are part of a snow ball rolling down hill and the mess is only going to get worse.
So what can we do to survive the coming collapse?
1st- Start storing food, water and medical supplies ASAP
2nd- Get a Gun, learn to use it, clean it, shoot it and have lots of ammo for it.
3rd- Have a plan for the collapse, bug out, bug in or whatever just have a plan!
4th- Learn skills that will help you survive.
5th- Make a list of needed items and start buying them one or two at a time and start with the items you need the most first.
And last but not least...... read and learn everything you can about the coming collapse and KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN!!!!!!
This Country is in distress and the collapse is coming so get ready!

Top 12 Reasons Not To Have Food Storage
Top 12 Reasons Not to Have Food Storage
Most people do not have a year’s supply of food storage. I hear it all the time….my neighbors will help me, the Church will provide for me, the government will give me food. Sorry, but you can not put your family’s temporal salvation in the hands of other people. No one else is going to store food for you. You have to do it yourself.
Here are the Top 12 Excuses for not having food storage:
12. My neighbors have a TWO year supply! I seriously doubt it. As a emergency preparedness coordinator in a previous stake, I created an extensive emergency preparedness survey. The results were that 94% of our stake did NOT have a year supply, and 82% had no food storage at all. If your idea is to beg for food from someone else, well, that’s a really bad plan.
11. I’m moving in with my parents (or my children). Really? There’s a bright idea. Guess what, they don’t have food storage either.
10. I’ve paid tithing for 20 years, the church should be able to give me some food. Unfortunately, this is not the case. Tithing is “fire insurance” (see D&C 64:23), not “food insurance.” In fact, the church storehouses and welfare farms would feed less than 5% of the members of the Church. The prophets have been telling you to have a food storage for over 75 years. Have you followed the prophet’s commandment?
9. I have a gun! I have seen on several forums and websites that people say that don’t store food because they have a gun and they know where the nearest Mormon is located. Guess what! You idiot, most Mormons have guns too. If you don’t already have self-defense options as part of your year supply, you should.
8. We pay taxes; If something does happen, the government will take care of us. Some might even say, “they have to help us; our taxes pay their salary; if we die, they will have to take a pay cut.” Government aid worked out so well for people in Louisiana after Hurricane Katrina, right? With most all states in a severe budget crisis, and the federal government with a $14 TRILLION debt, the government will not be able to help. In fact, the government has been urging people to store food, water, medicine, etc. Check out http://www.ready.gov
7. Wide-spread national catastrophe will never happen. You might think that nothing happened with Y2K, but every prophecy given by the Lord will be fulfilled, and probably when you least expect it.
6. I have a 2 year supply of wheat; that should be sufficient. You need much more than just wheat. Unless you are eating that wheat on a daily basis and your body is accustomed to it, it will literally tear up your digestive system. You need to store of food items to go along with the wheat.
5. It takes up too much space!. This is utter nonsense. It doesn’t matter where you live, you can find space if you want to. I put a full year supply of food storage for 2 adults and 4 children in the closet under my stairs. I was able to store over 650 of the #10 cans with easy access to any of it at any given time. Check out Where to Put Your Food Storage.
4. It doesn’t taste good and you can’t make adequate meals. Having a food storage means that you have to cook rather than go out to a restaurant or visiting the frozen food isle of the grocery store. Find the right recipes, and you can make your food storage into a delicious and nutritious meal.
3. I’ll store up gold and silver to trade for food. So, are you planning on eating those gold and silver coins? If you were starving, and you had a choice between a bag of gold coins and your neighbor’s cat, which would you choose? When people are starving, they are not going to trade away their valuable food for gold or silver. If they do, you will be buying the most expensive bowl of soup you ever ate.
2. I can’t afford food storage. The average food storage for an adult can cost as little as a dollar a day. We live in the wealthiest society in the history of the world. If you do not have food storage, it is because you have your priorities reversed. If you choose to purchase expensive cars, an extra large house, LCD televisions, computers, vacations, etc. before getting food storage, then you need to re-evaluate your priorities. Are those items more important than food storage?
1. A year supply??? I thought I only needed 72 hours! The recovery period for emergencies and natural disasters is much more than 72 hours. I lived in Houston when Hurricane Ike hit in 2008. Yes, a 72-hour kit helped…for the first 72 hours! Then we were left with the damage to recover from. There was no electricity for 3 weeks! Many places didn’t have running water (or sewage) for several days. Most all grocery stores were closed; the ones that could be open did not have anything to sell. Large pine trees blockaded roads and downed power lines. There was no cell phone reception; the towers were knocked down or destroyed.

Are You On "The LIST", Not Now But Soon..........
There are no-buy list for some people so they can buy a gun, no-fly list for some and now the no-ride list coming to Amtrakk. America needs a "no-ride" list barring suspected terrorists from Amtrak trains because of the potential threat of an Al Qaeda attack on the U.S. rail system on the 10th anniversary of 9/11, Sen. Chuck Schumer said Sunday. He called on Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano to use the existing airline "no-fly" list for the rails, too. "We have to be vigilant against future attacks," Schumer (D-NY) told reporters in midtown Manhattan yesterday. And I'm sure as the days and weeks roll by they will find more list to put you and me on. What about a no-drive list, you get a DUI or have to many tickets then you go on the no-drive list. Buy to many beers in one week then you go on the no-drink list or the no-shop list. You and your family use to much power or water then you will go on the no-water or no-power list! When will this government Bullshit end? What is next for us here in the Police State Of America? What freedoms will we lose next? This country is looking more and more like a communist society. Remember that each freedom you let them take is just one more nail in the coffin of this country. Stand up for true freedom and make your voice loud against the evil empire.

How To Start Prepping
Nobody knows how the future will unfold. And that includes myself. Next month may be the same as this month, or it may be a lot better, or it may be a lot worse. There is no way to know what next month will bring until it actually gets here. Therefore, it would probably be a good idea to have a variety of contingency plans instead of simply believing in one and only one possible future.
Do you remember the moral of Aesop's Fable of "The Race between the Turtle and the Rabbit?"
The moral of the story was: "Slow and steady wins the race."
But how does that moral apply to preparing for hard times?
The answer is simple:
1.Relax. Don't panic.
2.Avoid impulse purchases motivated by fear.
3.Relax. But don't procrastinate. Start today.
4.Start by making a plan and then gradually and systematically work your plan.
5.In other words, proceed at a slow but steady pace.
For example, you could design a hard times survival plan that was customized for your family's specific needs by doing the following:
1.Start with a very brief list of the most important broad categories of things your family would need to survive a hard times tragedy event, such as water, food, clothing, medical supplies and other household items needed to survive.
2.Under each broad category add a more detailed list of the things you would like to have within that category. This is a wish list. Don't be ashamed to add things to your wish list. You can prune your list later.
3.Do a little Internet window shopping and find out where you could buy each item on your list along with its price at each Internet store. Make sure you copy and save the Internet address of each store you visit in a special file so you can find that store again later if you decide to buy something from them.
4.Carefully analyze your list and prioritize your spending. And shop for the best price!
5.Don't go overboard in a single category. In other words, if you really like clothes then don't invest every spare dollar you have in clothes. If you really like firearms then don't invest every spare dollar you have in firearms. Instead systematically make investments in all of the major categories as money becomes available.
6.Take the time to carefully think about each of your purchases before you invest your money.
7. Use tax return money, trip or vacation money and that little extra cash you have stuck to the side for that rainy day. Set up a small amount of your budget each month to go to your preps and in no time you will see your work pay off and in a few months you will be on your way.
Top Few Items You Must Have To Survive
Food- And lots of it, you must have 6 months of food and water for each family member, but a year would be better. And seeds to start a garden.
Water Treatment -Be sure to have water purifier tablets or solutions and have a water filter, you should always be prepared to purify water in survival situations.
First Aid Kit -What will you need to pack in your first aid kit? Get the basics and be prepared for any mishap. And add the extras you will need for your family and pets.
Survival Knife- Here's the tool everyone wants to know about: the survival knife. You have to have one but two or three are better.
Fire Starter- Learn how to prepare a kit to get a fire going anywhere. Know how to do this in three or four way and have the tools to do it with.
Navigational equipment- A location map can show you the exact vicinity of the area. It also points you all the vital places like hospitals, gas stations and food joints. Compass is another crucial navigational tool. It helps you to decide which way to go in case you get lost in a vast area of land or water. And know how to use them both!
Cooking and Heat- You must have a small cook stove or other way to cook and heat.
Light- You need a few good flashlights and you must have the batteries....
Guns- You need at least three if you ask me, 1) Handgun at least 9mm or bigger, 2) A 22lr long gun a Ruger 10/22 is the best, and 3) a good shotgun there are a good amount of them find one and get it. Plus you must know how to use, clean and repair your guns! Get some training and get a video on how to break down and clean you guns.
Ammo- Is a must and lots of it a baseline would be:
Handgun= 2,500 rounds
22LR Long Gun =10,000 rounds
Shotgun= 500 slug, 1,000 00Buck, and 1,500 small shot for hunting.
And remember this is just a base you will do much better if you have more.
Do you remember the moral of Aesop's Fable of "The Race between the Turtle and the Rabbit?"
The moral of the story was: "Slow and steady wins the race."

Handgun= 2,500 rounds
22LR Long Gun =10,000 rounds
Shotgun= 500 slug, 1,000 00Buck, and 1,500 small shot for hunting.
And remember this is just a base you will do much better if you have more.

Same Old Song.........
It's the same old song with the fools who run this government. Just look at Osama bin Laden's death it's just days old and in most bigger cities have the TSA, FBI, ATF, CIA, and all the other alphabet groups are out in force doing the good of this country by getting ready for the next attack from the evil devils in the middle east. Yes we need to stay alert and yes we need to be ready for an attack, but why stop an old lady on her way home from the doctors office or the mother with three kids going to dance class or a baseball game. If you want to stop all the threats from the brown people of the middle east then stop letting them come here on the bullshit visa's they get or letting them walk across the border to run crazy to do the will of Allah at the cost of Americans life's. Keep an eye on the people who are part of the trouble and not the lady in a wheel chair that the TSA had to pat-down before she could board the aircraft, I don't know about you guys but I know that the handicapped people in wheel chairs are the true master-minds behind the true evil of the world just like the TSA...... Bullshit!!! This is all just part of a bigger plan to turn us all into sheep and the mass of the people will line up with a smile and be happy to do there part in the war on terror. But the sad part is that the only terror here in this country comes from our own Government. The Jack Booted Stormtroopers who will show up if you are going to sale raw milk or vegetables from your home garden and don't have the permission from Pharaoh, these guys will show you real terror. Don't take the flu shot for you or your family then just wait one day soon the Stormtroopers will show up and give you one last chance to take the shoots or get on the bus to the FEMA/ NONCOMPLIANCE GROUP then you will get to see Camp FEMA and all the fun stuff you get there.
The government is going to use this killing of Osama bin Laden to tighten down the laws and rules and at the same time taking more and more of your freedoms. Each day the Evil Empire trains more Stormtroopers to crack down on us and as each day slips away more and more people are waking up but it is a slow waking and sometimes they fall back into unbelief so we need to help the newly reborn into there new life of prepping and fighting the system. WE need to help the people on the fence and push them to start prepping because the way to life is with stores of food, water, medical supplies and other needed supplies. The coming collapse is very near and time is short so get to work and stay on tract we don't have much time. And as each day goes by it will get harder to start prepping because the cost of food, gas and everything is going up and as each week and month goes by it will get harder and harder to store needed stuff.

After Silver, Is Copper Next In Line To Be Gold??
By Sebastien Wright

What does the future hold for copper? Obviously nobody has a crystal ball but if we look at history first, we may get a glance into what the future might hold. In the 1990's, copper prices realized some significant increases due mostly to strong demand from telephone companies who were building copper infrastructure prior to the explosion of fibre optic construction.
This increase in infrastructure spend resulted in a glut of copper when the telecom industry fell upon hard times and also when fibre started to replace copper.
Fast forward to today and we are seeing an unprecedented demand for copper when we look at growing infrastructure demands from emerging economies such as China and India. As wealth is built in these economies, the demand for infrastructure increases exponentially and when we consider materials such as copper for use in electrical wiring and plumbing, one can predict that the demand for copper should continue to increase.
The challenge with using gold for example as a currency is that is almost too valuable. If you needed to make a small purchase and all you had was an ounce of gold, this would not be ideal. It would be like purchasing a chocolate bar with a $1000 bill! Metals such as copper on the other hand that have a traditionally lower value per ounce would make an ideal metal for smaller purchases.
In closing, base metals such as copper may not be nearly as sexy as gold or silver but in the long run, a commodity that has a real use in construction and one that is tied to the world economy should continue to be in demand. As with any investment, the key to success is education and knowing what you are doing. There are many books available as well as online information on how to invest in copper and other metals.

Many people invest in precious metal commodities such as gold and silver but not everyone considers non-precious base metals like copper and nickel.
Unlike precious metals, the prices of base metals are more related to the health of an economy than emotion or world events. Another appealing thing about investing in base metals as the amount of capital involved is considerably less than precious metals.

For the investor interested in copper as an investment, there are many methods to consider for investing. One can try and determine the best metal stocks to purchase but doing statistical analysis on commodities. Since copper is so closely tied to the health of the economy, another investment to consider could be index ETF's or mutual funds. Another means of investment would be to purchase copper bars or bouillon.
Another seemingly less sophisticated means of investing in copper but my no means less effective is to collect pre 1982 pennies. Many people may not be aware of this but pennies made prior to 1982 are made from pure copper whereas pennies made after 1982 are only coated in copper.
This may sound insignificant but to illustrate the value of this, a pre-1982 penny is current worth 2.9 cents in it's weight of pure copper! This equates to basically 3 times the penny's face value and could conceivably increase as copper is in higher demand.
Another interesting thing to consider about copper is that it may play a significant role in future purchasing as the US dollar and other currencies continue to lose value. Many experts agree that fiat currencies (basically paper currencies) all lose value over time but a commodity such as a base metal or precious metal do not.

Osama Bin Laden Dead! But Are We Safer Now????
(Reuters) – Osama bin Laden was killed in a U.S. assault on his Pakistani compound on Monday, then quickly buried at sea, in a dramatic end to the long manhunt for the al Qaeda leader who had become the most powerful symbol of global terrorism.World leaders hailed bin Laden's death but the euphoria was tempered by fears of retaliation and warnings of the need for renewed vigilance against attacks. The death of bin Laden, who achieved near-mythic status for his ability to elude capture under three U.S. presidents, closes a bitter chapter in the fight against al Qaeda, but it does not eliminate the threat of further attacks.
SEAL TEAM SIX
(National Journal) From Ghazi Air Base in Pakistan, the modified MH-60 helicopters made their way to the garrison suburb of Abbottabad, about 30 miles from the center of Islamabad. Aboard were Navy SEALs, flown across the border from Afghanistan, along with tactical signals, intelligence collectors, and navigators using highly classified hyperspectral imagers. After bursts of fire over 40 minutes, 22 people were killed or captured. One of the dead was Osama bin Laden, done in by a double tap -- boom, boom -- to the left side of his face. His body was aboard the choppers that made the trip back. One had experienced mechanical failure and was destroyed by U.S. forces, military and White House officials tell National Journal. Were it not for this high-value target, it might have been a routine mission for the specially trained and highly mythologized SEAL Team Six, officially called the Naval Special Warfare Development Group, but known even to the locals at their home base Dam Neck in Virginia as just DevGru. This HVT was special, and the raids required practice, so they replicated the one-acre compound at Camp Alpha, a segregated section of Bagram Air Base. Trial runs were held in early April.
I think this was a day long coming and was needed but I know just as most of you know that the country now has a target like never before. We are hated all over the world and with this mission now will be hated even more. I bet we are going to get hit with a big attack from Al Qaeda within months if not weeks. Osama Bin Laden was the leader and looked up to by the members of Al Qaeda and achieved near-mythic status for his ability to elude capture under three U.S. presidents. There will be retaliation for his death, Los Angeles police have begun increasing patrols of religious institutions and other potential terrorist targets and NYPD flooded the city’s subway system with additional cops. The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, “out of an abundance of caution,” said it has added more police at airports, the George Washington Bridge and ground zero just to be ready. Secretary of State Clinton declared that the “battle to stop al-Qaeda and its syndicate of terror” is not over and said the U.S. would continue to boost its counterterrorism cooperation with other nations, including Pakistan. Rep. Pete King, head of the House Homeland Security Committee, said on Monday that al-Qaeda will “try to avenge this death” and warned “we’ll have to be on full alert.”
I'm sure we will see more in the coming days and weeks about Al Qaeda and the coming attacks. I will tell each of you to stay alert and don't go near areas of danger like places that would come under attack. If you work at an area that would be in a danger zone use your brain and keep your eye's open. Stay out of big cities and don't go to big events. Check you survival gear and pull out the NBC gear and just stay alert. I hope and pray that not one thing happens but my gut tells me to stand ready for anything.

A Mix Of Things
Well it's 7:30pm on sunday and I got everything on my list done, I just didn't make it to the range. The yard sale was great we made a little money and got rid of lots of stuff we just don't need. Plus we have a plan for one more yard sale in about three more weeks and after this one what ever is left is going to Goodwill.
I got some more 5 gallon buckets made and got more food saver bags to do more in the coming weeks. When I was at Wal Mart getting the food saver bags I got some more ammo Rem 550 bricks $19.00, Damn I remember buying them for $9.98 a few years ago. But hell everything is going up not just ammo. I put gas in the truck today and it was $4.19 a gallon for a total of $95.00 I'm not sure how people are going to fuel there cars or trucks and pay rent, power, water, food, phone, tax, and all the other things that just add up and still have any extra cash. Prepping is hard to do now but when you add the extra cost to just about everything we buy and the cost of the prepping items you need to buy it gets a little crazy. Our time is short and we need to get ready. Take the time now to store needed items and give yourself a shot at life!
