After Christmas Prepping

Lets all remember that after Christmas every store in this country will start the big markdown of goods. Not all items are good for prepping but a few items will work well. I look for the gift sets with knifes, flashlights, flasks and other cool items. Last year I got five crank lights to put around the house and in the shop, they were $5.00 each but after Christmas they were 75% off so I got they for $1.25 each. This is a great time to get barter items. About 7-8 years ago I was in a Wal-Mart and it was first week of the new year and I was in the sporting goods area and saw a small stack of Remington gift tins, they had 250 rounds of 22LR and was in a nice little Christmas tin and were marked down to $4.00, so I bought all of them and still have a few I give as a Christmas gift from time to time. Keep your eye's open for good deals and check back every day or two because they mark down the stuff fast just to get rid of it. I have a few items I'm going to be keeping an eye on. Keep up your prepping and stay ready for the collapse, because it's coming!!!!

  1. Great suggestions, Pete!

Also consider shoes and blue never hurts to have an extra pair or two, especially if there's a great price.

January is normally White Sale you can buy down comforters, quilts and fleece blankets for cheap.

  2. Great idea Andrea and you can't go wrong. They are predicting a 30% increase in the cost of clothing ( which would of course include things like sheets and towels, etc).

On another note, Pete, I wanted to thank you for all you do in helping people become more aware and the need for prepping in these troubling times.
Merry Christmas to you and your family. God Bless,

  3. Just becareful with the ammo tins at wally world. You might displease big sis's telescreens... Good advice though- I have been saving coupons for the post Christmas markdowns.
