I Have A Question!

Why am I crazy for prepping? I was told by someone that I was crazy for using my money to prep and not doing fun stuff like going on vacation or getting a new car or truck. What??? I had to shake my head and then I looked at them for a long few seconds and I just had to ask them this question, "why am I crazy to spend my money the way I want to, but if you spend your money the way you want it's ok?" Then I asked if they had insurance on there car, home, life and health, and the answer was yes to all. So my next question I asked was why not have the same insurance for your survival and the survival of your family? I still don't get why some people think it is crazy to stock up on needed supplies and have the means to survive a collapse. I prep to survive and I plan to survive the collapse and as long as I can prep I will prep till that day of doom hits and if it never hits then so be it, all I did was put some hard work into something I thought would save me and my family and now I will have prepping items to pass on to my kids as a gift of love and of life. If you prep and have people telling you that you are crazy, it's not you who are the crazy ones because you have the foresight to see down the road and know that hard times are coming and lay up needed supplies for hard times. Keep prepping and keep learning skills because the collapse is coming, and I think is coming soon! Time is short and we all have lots of work to do!
So who thinks I'm crazy?

  1. I've notice the folks that say that I'm crazy for prepping tend to have an Eat, drink and be merry for tomorrow we die. They can't accept reality and their own normalcy bias blinds them. Watch any big storm news reports and the mad dash for basic goods at stores. Heck this last Xmas we saw near riots over a $2.00 toaster that you can easily get at any thrift, second hand store or yard sale.
Santa is real and has a Visa or Master card logo. In a way they are still children in mentality and throw tantrums when they can't get what they want and need someone to blame!
Also you are showing them that they are completely vapid and self-absorbed. If you can prepare on your budget, plan ahead they could as well and they will hate you for showing that they are superficial and irresponsible about their own lives.

  2. Makes complete sense to me! I guess I'm the same kind of crazy as you are. Wanting to be sure I'm safe and able to eat and such nonsense.

  4. Most people are in complete denial that any event will affect them whatsoever, or that the .gov will come rescue them within a moments notice. Reality as well as history seem to elude them at best, that quote of "you can lead a horse to water" you know the rest.
