Suburban Survivalists Stock Up

Some of the walking dead are coming alive, but watch the video and at the end hear the ready.gov plug and the three days of food deal. I think it's good that more people are starting to stock up but will they stick with it? I have been a survivalist for more than 20 years and just keep adding to my preps. Will the new suburban walking dead keep up the hard work? Will they get a gun and ammo and learn to use in to keep there family safe and keep the storage items they have? I'm not sure but even a few of the knuckle heads at my work are starting to wake up. I'm not sure if people know just how bad the collapse can and will be...... Keep up your hard work on your prepping because one day you will be sitting down to eat when other have nothing or very little to eat and you will survive the collapse...

  1. It's a good thing that more and more people are waking up, the more that do it, the less hungry people there will be trying to take what the rest of us have stocked.

My problem with this story (and other main stream media stories like it) is now EVERYONE knows the first and last names of these particular people, everyone has seen their house, so what happens if the worst happens and hungry people start showing up on their doorsteps wanting food... also our wonderful gov-ment has laws on the books that allows them to come in and confiscate these stores of food to redistribute to the masses as they see fit.

Now to pick apart the doctor's food storage, he has a LOT of food, he made the statement that the peanut butter will last forever, WRONG! Unopened, in the best circumstances, it will be good for a couple of years, once it's opened, they better be eating peanut butter sandwiches everyday or they will be eating rancid peanut butter or tossing it out. I saw lots of other very perishable foods, Bisquick will go rancid in the unopened package in less than a year...

I also noticed a lot of cases of baked beans, I have to tell you from personal experience, it seems like a great idea to have lots of beans for hard times, but unless someone really REALLY likes baked beans and other beans, it gets old real quick.

Now if this doctor is ROTATING his food stocks, if he is actually USING this food and replacing it with new stocks, then he will find that a great deal of his food stocks will not be as good as it could be, it will taste old, become rancid or worst case scenario, it will make them sick or might even kill them.

I also sincerely hope that these people are willing to do what it takes to protect their stores of food, or have enough to share with anyone who comes along, pray that no one comes along and wants more than they are willing to share.

I am not trying to be negative, these are great starts for these people, more than most have done, they will certainly be better off than someone who hasn't prepped at all, now if we could just get the rest of the sheeple to wake up. :)

  2. While I do have concerns about people who advertise that they have a two year supply of food, they brought this on themselves by volunteering to provide specific information about who they are and where they live.

Once again the media makes fun of people who are stocking up. Just ask the shrink...it's an emotional condition. When TSHTF I hope they don't come knocking because if it's after day three, I'll just let them know we are all out. After all, three days worth of stuff is all they laughingly suggested we keep on hand.
