I Did Not Know This!!!!!!
Last night at work I was talking with a few fellow co-workers and I made the statement that everyone needs to have and carry a copy of The Constitution of The United States so you can quote your rights and be ready with the truth. But I was told that The Constitution was an outdated document and needs to be redone and updated to fit the more modern times. I didn't know what to say, I had a loss of words. I kept my thoughts to myself because I was at work. But how can people think like that? How can the people of this country be so far off the truth that it's not even funny. I just can't even think that way, I must be so far outside the thoughts of the California way of thinking that it's like I'm in a different world. I know that I am part of the 1-2% of God loving, gun loving, Bible Reading, Constitution following and survivalist that live in the state of California, but how can the people of this country be so disconnected with the truth? To tell you the truth 100% it's that outdated document that give the fools the right to say what they think even if it's 100% foolish. I disagree with the statement that was made 100% and think that is was a foolish statement, but because I love this country and stand for truth and The Constitution I have to say that person had every right to make that statement, even if I think it was wrong. It's funny how people will walk on The Constitution and at the same time use it's freedoms for themselves. If the people of this country only knew the freedoms they take for granted from day to day they would get sick. I trust The Constitution and say it's as good today as it was the day it was written. And as a country we need to stand by The Constitution and trust the words written within it!

Those statements don't surprise me and here's why....we're a nation that's turned our back on God!!!
ReplyDeleteThe Constitution doesn't 'give' us rights...it guarantees the rights bestowed upon us by our Creator. If you don't believe in the Creator, then why would you believe in the rights He's given us and the document that's supposed to protect them?
But that's just my thinkin'....and I've been called a redneck a time or two in my life, so it may just be a flawed line of thought.
"because I love this country and stand for truth and The Constitution I have to say that person had every right to make that statement, even if I think it was wrong. It's funny how people will walk on The Constitution and at the same time use it's freedoms for themselves"
ReplyDeleteYou wrote exactly what you needed to say to that person!!!
Yep, it's called Article 5 - The amendment process. If someone doesn't like how the Constitution reads, tell them to get it changed. It's such a perfect document, it even comes with instructions on how to make it better!
ReplyDeleteI sure know how you feel, me being from Californistan myself. I work with some really good people but a lot of them don't have a clue about the sacrifices that were made to give them the wonderful life they have or what it will take to keep it. People that believe in God and the constitution are under attack in this country and if we loose that will pretty much be the end of freedom and liberty in this world. By the way, as I read your post I thought the exact same thing as Mamma Bear. Don
ReplyDeleteIt surprises you that people think like that?
ReplyDeleteTwo major reasons.....1. The communistic inspired, brain washing that goes on in the so-called "public education system". 2. The mindless drivel that is spewed out of televisions across the nation from the controlled, lame stream media.
Add that to what Andrea has stated.

Totally agree with Bob. Pop culture/media is driving this as well. Think of all the wholesome qualities and institutions that this country was built on: family, faith, marriage, morality, personal responsibility/liberty; and how media derides them and labels them as racist/classist/sexist/elitist/old-fashioned.
ReplyDeleteI think the fact that the Constitution upholds these institutions/qualities makes it a prime target for people who don't want to conform to traditional society.
I would get the heck out Kalifornia and never look back. Come to Texas and leave it to em. If they have that idea about the Constitution, they deserve everything they 'get".
