WE ARE SURVIVALISTS

WE ARE SURVIVALISTS He who fails to prepare for the night, fails to prepare for the dawn. I am a survivalist and by nature a survivalist is an OPTIMIST. I do not have one pessimistic bone in my body. If what I just said sounds odd to you then you are not yet a survivalist and you do not understand the modern survivalist at all. It has been very difficult to communicate to the public and the mass communications media, the concept of an optimistic, hopeful survivalist. A fireman is a fireman, not because he believes everything will burn, but because he believes much can be saved. Doctors don't believe in death, they believe in life, and a survivalist is not a survivalist because he believes everything must be destroyed and everyone must die, he believes that life and freedom can be saved, if people of good will are prepared. A fireman does not start fires, a doctor does not make disease and a survivalist does not make disaster. Crime, disease, war, revolution, fire, flood, periodic financial collapse and famine are the results of nature and the nature of man and unfortunately are not within the power of anyone on this earth to prevent. We all know that the sun will set each day, leaving us in darkness and we all know that warm summers give way to cold winters and that we can do nothing to keep the sun from setting or the cold winds from coming, does this make us pessimistic? I think not! So then why is the survivalist called a pessimist when he makes ready to face events that are just as much part of history and nature as the sunset and changing of the seasons. Another misconception is that survivalists are predicting world disaster. On the contrary, we seem to be the OPTIMISTIC MINORITY that is predicting world survival. We are hard pressed to find any well recommended historians, economists, political scientists, sociologists or military strategists that can come up with a scenario that gives even a fifty-fifty chance of avoiding a large scale catastrophe, yet we survivalist dare to be OPTIMISTIC about the future. We survivalists do not need to predict the probability of disaster anymore than we need to predict the sun setting. Those who put down survivalists, are like men who refuse to look at a calendar, in the hope that through self-imposed ignorance they can keep from aging another year. "You survivalists will be disappointed if we don't have a world cataclysm", here is another accusation that is pure B.S. and I could not think of a milder phrase to describe it. We survivalists have loved ones we don't want to see hurt or killed, we have homes we don't want to see destroyed, we are not fools to think that just because we are survivalist a world cataclysm would be fun for us or the we would not experience danger, loss, hunger, injury, cold or even despair and death. We have spent time and money to improve our chances for survival and recovery from disaster, but we would have a great celebration if some day we could be assured that we had wasted our time. No, we will not be disappointed if there is no disaster to survive, anymore than the Red Cross is disappointed when there are no floods and storms or the man who buys an insurance policy is disappointed when his house fails to burn down. It may be said that the survivalist would much prefer the pleasant (but unlikely) surprise of being wrong to the (probable) deadly rude awakening that the non-survivalist will face if he is wrong. So, you see the survivalist can not lose because his survival preparations will be of value regardless of what the future has in store. In time of crisis, those who have not prepared to turn to each other, will turn on each other. It is most regrettable indeed, that many people consider survivalists as a threat and regard them with suspicion and even hostility. This attitude is logically indefensible and is rooted in the non-survivalists own sense of fear and guilt. Subconsciously, the non-survivalist may hate the survivalist for reminding him of how fragile his lifestyle is. Now, let's get the facts turned around right. THE MOST DANGEROUS PEOPLE IN AMERICA TODAY ARE THE NON-SURVIVALIST. Every person who has not made provisions for surviving without food, water, fuel and other essential needs from the outside, is a mortal danger to his neighbors. What will a man do when he and his family are freezing, hungry, thirsty, sick and starving? He may ask or beg his neighbors for help, but when they have no extra fuel, food, water or medicine to give, will he just go back home to die with his wife and kids? What do you think? We survivalists who stock up on food and other supplies, now do a favor to society because what we now buy is replaced on the shelves so there will be that much more available in an emergency. We survivalists won't be looting and killing for food. We won't be a burden on the medical facilities or a danger to the police. Since we will be able to turn to each other, we will not need to turn on anyone and we may be able to help at least some. Survival preparation should be regarded as a social obligation, one that every individual owes to his family and community and his nation. The non-survivalist is simply a poor and irresponsible citizen. So the reality is, that survivalists are optimistic, self-reliant individuals, who cannot help but see the imperative of preparing for the worst possible events, while hoping sincerely, that they won't happen. Today's survivalist is an asset to his community and to the world and should be proud to be called SURVIVALIST.

Survival and Self-Reliance 101

This is for you new guys and people who have never put a second thought into survival or self-reliance. You have entered into a big new world that with a little work will pay off 100 times what you put into in. Everyday you stock up on food, water and other supplies or learn a new skill that will help you survive you are one more day closer to security for you and your family. Being self-reliant is freedom from the Beast, and the Beast is the system of evil and greed that is our Government. When you take that first step into the world of survival you will start down a road that will ever change; let me explain. To start with you will have a hard time finding two survivalist that think just alike as far as how to and what to stock up on. Most will be very close to the same but every one of us has our on plan for survival. If you go into a survival chat room or forum and start a post with, “What gun is best for survival?” Let me say I think the best gun for survival is the gun you feel the best with and use well but in the forum or chat room you will get many different guns and the reason why it is the best for survival. I am a strong believer that survival is a personal thing and the only person who can prep for you is you yourself. Don’t get me wrong we all need outside input to help us on our way to becoming a survivalist. We all have skills and info to share and you will never stop learning when it comes to survival. With that said you will need to get off you ass and get out and use tools and survival gear to see what works and what doesn’t work. The funny thing is a great tool for me may be a heavy hunk of junk to you, but you will never know till you use it and test it. And you don’t have to go broke to test out tools or guns. If you have a gun range near you go there and rent a gun every time you go and find one that you love and you shoot well then buy that gun and use it and get better with it. Just about every gun range has a program to rent guns. And remember to talk to the old timers at the gun range. Those old timers have great info and maybe some pointers on shooting that will help you. I still go to the free classes they have at the gun store near me just to pick up a little extra info from time to time. Use your mind it is your first survival tool and most of the time is the best tool you have. Get out and try out your tools and try out your skills and get your supplies going. Do a web search for food storage and read my old post on survival skills I’m up to #32 and I will keep going for as long as I can come up with new info. Thanks for reading my Blog and get your ass in gear time is short. Start stocking up on food, water, medical supplies and household now! Take a little time today to stock up so when the evil comes you will have the food you need to live.

My Crazy Rant......Or Am I Crazy?

Well not much going on, just the same lies as always. The POTUS has declared a national emergency because of the H1N1 Flu and has yet to vaccinate his own daughters, Why is that? "President Obama’s school age daughters have not been vaccinated against the H1N1 flu virus. White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs says the vaccine is not available to them based on their risk. The Centers for Disease Control recommend that children ages 6 months through 18 years of age receive a vaccination against the H1N1 flu virus. At this time only children with chronic medical conditions are receiving the vaccination because their immune system is not strong enough to fight off the strain. The CDC also says a regular seasonal flu shot does not protect against the virus."
I will tell you why they didn't get the flu shot, because the flu shot is BAD for you! That is why they are pushing it on us. This is all a big plan to push this country into Martial Law. The sheeple of this country are being set up in a plan of evil of unbelievable proportions, but it is in place and running as I post this blog. The first part of this plan was to steal every dollar they could get and put this country as deep into debt as it could get. Then they are injecting us with poison to make us sick. So at this point they want us poor and to sick to fight. I know some of you may think this is crazy, but I don't. I think the leaders of this country are in league with evil.
My friends get your house in order and stock up on food, water, household items and medical supplies. Do it now while you still have time, because our time is short. Evil is coming.

Obama Declares Swine Flu A National Emergency

Well I can't say I didn't see this coming. First he declares a State of Emergency, and next he will invoke the power of FEMA. There are a lot of Executive orders that can be used to twist this whole National Emergency into a damn mess.

Here are just a few Executive Orders associated with FEMA that would suspend the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. These Executive Orders have been on record for nearly 30 years and could be enacted by the stroke of a Presidential pen:

* EXECUTIVE ORDER 10990 allows the government to take over all modes of transportation and control of highways and seaports.

* EXECUTIVE ORDER 10995 allows the government to seize and control the communication media.

* EXECUTIVE ORDER 10997 allows the government to take over all electrical power, gas, petroleum, fuels and minerals.

* EXECUTIVE ORDER 10998 allows the government to take over all food resources and farms.

* EXECUTIVE ORDER 11000 allows the government to mobilize civilians into work brigades under government supervision.

* EXECUTIVE ORDER 11001 allows the government to take over all health, education and welfare functions.

* EXECUTIVE ORDER 11002 designates the Postmaster General to operate a national registration of all persons.

* EXECUTIVE ORDER 11003 allows the government to take over all airports and aircraft, including commercial aircraft.

* EXECUTIVE ORDER 11004 allows the Housing and Finance Authority to relocate communities, build new housing with public funds, designate areas to be abandoned, and establish new locations for populations.

* EXECUTIVE ORDER 11005 allows the government to take over railroads, inland waterways and public storage facilities.

* EXECUTIVE ORDER 11051 specifies the responsibility of the Office of Emergency Planning and gives authorization to put all Executive Orders into effect in times of increased international tensions and economic or financial crisis.

* EXECUTIVE ORDER 11310 grants authority to the Department of Justice to enforce the plans set out in Executive Orders, to institute industrial support, to establish judicial and legislative liaison, to control all aliens, to operate penal and correctional institutions, and to advise and assist the President.

* EXECUTIVE ORDER 11049 assigns emergency preparedness function to federal departments and agencies, consolidating 21 operative Executive Orders issued over a fifteen year period.

* EXECUTIVE ORDER 11921 allows the Federal Emergency Preparedness Agency to develop plans to establish control over the mechanisms of production and distribution, of energy sources, wages, salaries, credit and the flow of money in U.S. financial institution in any undefined national emergency. It also provides that when a state of emergency is declared by the President, Congress cannot review the action for six months.

What will become of this National Emergency? How will this Government use this to mess with us?
Keep your eye's open and your hear to the ground because the NWO is coming. Get your house and your family ready, because time is short.

H1N1 Flu

I read and hear a lot of different info on the flu. I have talked to many different Doctors and got many different answers. Some say take just the seasonal flu shot but not the H1N1 or take both the seasonal flu and the H1N1. Other doctors say to stay clear of both and don't take any vaccine. I don't know if any of them really know what the truth is and if they do I don't think they are telling. So what do you do? I will not tell anyone what to do, you will have to make that decision yourself. I will tell you I will never take another vaccine in my life. I don't trust the miss info on the vaccine and I sure don't trust the Government. So what am I doing? I am taking natural immune boosters and natural flu fighters. Here is what I am taking
1500mg C
110mg Calcium
2000iu D-3
5000iu A
200iu E
57.5mg Zinc
15mcg Selenium
1mg Copper
1.5mg Manganese
950mg Elderberry
400mg Echinacea
1500mg Oil of Oregano

Survival Skills # 29 How to Build a Fire pit

How to Build a Fire pit

Is there anything more soothing than sitting around a fire on a cool night? Grownups and kids both love the appeal of an open fire. Whether toasting a marshmallow over the flames or just sipping a cup of coffee and watching the dancing flames, a fire pit is guaranteed to make everyone's world a better place. And after a SHTF event a fire pit will be a must. You will be able to cook, boil water, make coffee and as said lust sit back on a cool or cold night and enjoy. Here's how you can build a fire pit in your own yard.

Step 1
Choose a location for your fire pit that isn't close to trees, building or anything that could catch fire from a spark. A level location is best, but the design can accommodate a slight slope as well. Be sure there aren't any underground wires, cable or pipes in your chosen location.
Step 2
Drive a stake into the ground where you want to put the fire pit. Tie a piece of string to the stake and attach a stick or nail 1 1/2 or 2 feet away from the stake.
Step 3
Scribe a circle all around the stake and mark the line with spray paint.
Step 4
Remove the sod inside the circle and dig out the hole to a depth of about 1 foot (keep the sides as straight as possible). Then, in the center of your fire pit excavation, dig a hole about 6 or 8 inches square and 12 inches deep
Step 5
Scrape out the bottom of your hole and pour in about 4 inches of pea gravel (fill the hole in the center with the gravel as well). If your fire pit is on a slope you can level the bottom out by adding more pea gravel to one side. The pea gravel will help the fire pit drain and the hole in the center will act as a sump and improve the drainage
Step 6
Add about 3 inches of sand on top of the pea gravel - the sand will help prevent any fire from spreading to roots under your pit.
Step 7
Surround the fire pit with at least two rows of concrete pavers stacked on top of each other. Dry stack the pavers to make it easy to replace any that might break. Don't use adhesive to hold the pavers together, as it will melt and give off fumes that could be toxic.
Step 8
Find a metal grate that will fit over the total open hole of the fire pit. You can use this to cook on.
Step 9
Now just wait for evening, build the first fire in your own fire pit, and then sit back and enjoy.

Things you’ll need:
Stackable interlocking paving stones (12' x 12'), but fire proof brick is the best.
Stake with 2-foot string and a nail
Building sand
Pea or small aggregate gravel
Edger/square tip shovel
Rake

I Had A Lot To Do And Got A Lot Done.

This weekend I worked on my food stores. I looked over and counted every thing. My food supplies are 80% Mt. House #10 cans and the rest is 5 gallon buckets with dried foods. I moved some of my 5 gallon buckets to put all of them in one place. As of right now for me my wife and the one kid I have at home I'm sure we have a year or more worth of food, and this is not including my food I get from my fishing and our garden. I look at the fish and garden as the extra or my fall-back food. Plus I'm not including any hunting, which I can do and I do well. I'm no expert but I know my way around hunting and there are lots of good things to hunt near me. I do expect as the SHTF for food not just at the stores but the food we hunt to get gone very fast. Most people don't know how to fish or hunt, but the ones that do we be doing it and I would expect that this skill will be very useful in a post SHTF event. As I have said before barter will be the new money and skills and trade items will be how most will make a living.
My friends time is short so get yourself ready and stock up on as much as you can, because food, water and other supplies will be your life line.
